Main Functions

Permanent or Temporary Sealing of Pipe Ends
Completely seals pipe openings to prevent:
Water, sewage, foreign objects, air, or dust from entering the system;
Accidental air ingress under siphonic negative pressure (which would disrupt full-bore negative pressure flow);
Leakage or odor overflow.

System Testing and Pressure Retention
After installation, during water filling/flow testing or negative pressure testing phases, use end caps to seal all openings (such as the bottom of vertical stacks, ends of horizontal pipes, or reserved interfaces), keeping the system airtight. This facilitates:
Hydrostatic pressure testing (to check the integrity of heat-fusion/electrofusion joints);
Simulation of siphon activation (priming test);
Detection of overall airtightness and negative pressure stability.


Prevention of Blockage or Contamination During Construction/Operation
During construction, end caps are used to temporarily seal unconnected pipe openings, preventing debris, construction residue, dust, or packaging materials from entering the pipes (a common issue: residual materials causing later blockages).
During operation, they provide permanent sealing for spare branches or reserved interfaces, preventing accidental water ingress or foreign objects.

Emergency or Maintenance Backup
During system modifications, expansions, or partial repairs, the end cap can be cut off and replaced to reconnect new fittings.
Some end caps are designed to be removable (with threads or flanges), allowing easy opening for later inspection or connection.
